Thera are 3 major plugins running on this system.

The Wire

The major plugin is called "The wire". It is a social network comparable to Facebook. You can post messages on "The wire" and all your friends are able to read, comment and rate it.

You can set notifications to your email-address by changing the settings. Just go to "Settings/Notification" in the topbar. There you can decide when you will receive an automatic e-mail.

To add friends to your community just go to "Members" in the topbar, search for your friends and move your mouse over the profile-icon.  A drop down in the profile -icon will appear on the lower right side. Just click the "add friend" button and a message will be sent to the member. He has to acknowledge to your request.

 

Layover

 

Here you will find the latest layoverinformation corresponding to the IATA code. The world is divided in 5 areas.

Move your mouse over "Layover" in the topbar and will see the 5 different areas. Choose your desired Field and press the right mouse-button. Now you will see a navigation tree on the left site. Just search for your final IATA code in the menu. There are several subdirectories. Look up for the right directory and create a new site. Now you are able to share your experience with other users. 

If there is not your destination just send an e-mail to layover@micrew.de. As the site is increasing rapidly we try to keep it updated. Our home base is europe, so we focus on these destination. But nevertheless we are more than happy to add new airports.

  

Groups

  

Under "Groups" you are able to define  communities with the same interests. Just hit the "Groups" button in the topbar. Here you can create a new group. Define the title and select the access level for your group.

It is easy to create a discussion and invite other members to join your group.

You can upload files, or photos using the menu on the left hand side.

If you have enough groupmembers, admin can make you a featured group.

There are 4 different privacy levels using in "micrew".

• Private   only you can see this information
• Friends Your friends are able to see your information
• Logged in user Everybody logged in at micrew
• Public Your information are viewable for everybody even no "micrew" members
